Miami Real Estate and Short-Term Rentals: How the Two Connect

Running both a real estate brokerage and a short-term rental business in Miami has shown me how much the two actually overlap.

I didn’t set out to run both a real estate brokerage and a short-term rental hosting business at the same time. But the longer I’ve done both, the more they’ve turned out to overlap.

Buyers Ask Hosting Questions

A growing number of real estate clients aren’t just asking whether a property is a good home — they’re asking whether it could work as a short-term rental down the line. Having actually run rental properties myself means I can answer that from experience, not just theory.

Guests Ask Real Estate Questions

It happens more than you’d expect — someone stays at a Kismet Getaways property, likes the neighborhood, and starts asking what it would take to buy something nearby. Being able to speak to both sides of that conversation in one place is useful for them, and it’s part of why I built this site the way I did.

Market Knowledge Runs Both Ways

Understanding the Miami market as a broker makes me a better host — I know what guests are actually coming here for. And understanding what makes a property work as a rental makes me a sharper broker when a client is evaluating an investment property.

One Person, Two Perspectives

You don’t need to pick which conversation to have with me. If you’ve got a real estate question, a hosting question, or both, I’m the same person to ask either way.
